A New Year means plenty to look forward to and new vans from the major manufacturers are no exception.
It seems there’s quite a lot to get excited about for 2018 with news buzzing of brand new launches, face lifts and hybrid options.
One of the biggest bits of news is that Mercedes-Benz will be introducing it’s first pick-up – The X-Class. There’s already a waiting list for this premium pick up. It’s described as having “ car-like refinement and comfort, quiet engines, 3.5 tonne towing capacity.” Watch this space for more news and you can read a full review here.
So what else is coming to market?
A new version of the Citroen Berlingo is due to launch in the summer of 2018 whilst the beginning of the year will see an updated Ford Transit Custom and excitingly a plug-in hybrid version will be available. We’ll be sharing more information on this development from Ford in the new year.
Ford’s Courier and Transit Connect are also getting a ‘revamp’ for 2018 with changes to both interior and exterior styling and some engine overhaul with the aim of increasing economies.
Late 2018 and Mercedes-Benz will be back with a new Sprinter. Experts are saying that we can “….expect the latest in driver assistance tech, a new engine line-up and the promise of an electric model in the not-too-distant future.”
Nissan’s e-NV200 is the best-selling electric van on the market currently and this new model, set for launch in the Spring of 2018 is said to offer an extended range of up to 174miles and the range will include a refrigerated version as well as a panel van and a kombi.
