Do you love Autumn?
The changing leaves, the crisp clear mornings – it’s definitely one of our favourite seasons here at Vans4Lease and it's a perfect time to give your van a little tender loving care.
Even a brand new lease van needs looking after and a few simple checks, that you can do yourself, will help to keep your van healthy as the drop in temperatures, changing road conditions and leaf-covered lanes throw up various challenges for you and your vehicle.
Here are our top tips on how to give your van an Autumn check over but if anything concerns you, do contact your local garage to be on the safe side.
- Test all exterior lights. Double check everything is in full working order as you're far more likely to be driving in the dark at this time of year.
- Check your wiper blades are in good condition and make sure your windscreen wash is topped up.
- Pop a scraper and some de-icer in the van for those chilly mornings.
- Take a look at your tyres - check the tread depth and pressure (you should check tyre pressures on a regular basis throughout the year, many new vans will have indicators if levels drop but don't only rely on these.)
- Check fluid levels - engine oil, brake fluid, radiator coolant and antifreeze.
